WHO WE ARE
The holiday farmhouse “Cascina Veja” is a family-owned property.
We are truly and sunny people who work every day in order to do the best for our guests and our farm.
Massimiliano Gastaldi is the owner: he is responsible for the farm, the cooking and the guests’ rooms. William, Massimiliano’s
younger brother, helps his older brother working with competence in the fields and with the stocks.
Elisa, the sister, helps us with foreign customers, speaking fluently English, French and German. Moreover she works at the website and at
the complex management of the firma.
The farmhouse has been fully renovated by dad Renato, who devoted himself to restore old vaults made of bricks that had collapsed: he restored the wall using the ancient way in which houses were made; that means with bricks and stones. The roofing that is made of beams and chestnut wainscots is covered with an ancient surface of “lose” or slabs of stones that came from the quarries of our valley.
Last but not least: mum Tommasina keeps her eyes on everybody and helps in the kitchen. Thanks to her you will have tasty jam with bread and butter for breakfast, just like our grand-mothers used to prepare and a big choice of cakes and tarts. She is also the green fingers that fill up Cascina Veja with flowers.
There is also a well determined team of young people working in the farm.
