What to see

Langhe

The Langhe area, with its mild hills, was declared a World Heritage Site in 2014 and remain a “must” for those who are looking for ideas on what to do and see while on holiday in the Piedmont region.
Allow yourself to be won over by the beauty and the renowned flavours of this part of the lower Piedmont area situated between the Ligurian Apennines, the Maritime Alps and Monferrato.

Mondovì

After a 20-minute drive from the holiday farm, you will reach Mondovì, a city that is proud of its origins, famous not only for the beauty of its old buildings and the panoramic cable railway, but also for its characteristic hot air balloon festival, that attracts many visitors to the area every January.

Vicoforte Sanctuary

Only a stone’s throw away from Mondovì, you will be able to admire the largest elliptical dome in the world, and from May to October, it is also possible to follow the ancient routes reserved for the workers and to reach the upper part of the building, to enjoy a breath-taking panorama from the smaller dome at a height of 75 metres.

Saluzzo

Less than an hour’s drive from here, you will be able to visit Saluzzo, the capital of the Marquisate bearing the same name, among the Alps, that in ancient times, was an Italian State, including Piedmont and French territories. There are countless monuments of artistic importance, dating back to the late Medieval-Renaissance period, in a location that was customarily a crossroads of men, goods and ideas.

Royal Castle of Racconigi

Only a stone’s throw away from Turin, the Royal Castle of Racconigi is a wonderful place to visit. It is part of the Sabaudian Residences and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites; since 1994, it has also been re-opened as a museum.
Just as interesting is the park behind, measuring approximately 170 hectares which in 2010 was elected the most beautiful park in Italy. It was originally built by the same architect as the Royal Palace of Versailles, commissioned by Carlo Alberto, in the 19th century, the garden-park was revisited in a Romantic style that can still be seen today.

Italian Riviera

The advantageous position in which we are situated, close to the border between Piedmont and Liguria, enables you to enrich your programme of excursions, being able to reach some of the locations on the Italian Riviera such as Savona, Finale Ligure and Pietra Ligure.
